The Plainfield
Minority Golf Association (PMGA) is a member of the United States Golf
Association, Incorporated.
The purpose of
the PMGA is to provide its members with an organized program to promote interest
among minorities and the underprivileged within Plainfield, NJ and the
surrounding communities.
This nonprofit
organization will provide a college scholarship to a deserving high school
student who is going on to further his or her education at an institute of higher learning.
The PMGA is hosting the Spring Scholarship Golf Outing and golf tournaments and outings to support that endeavor.
The organization has
awarded over $50,000 in scholarship grants to students.
Our scholarship
winners are attending such universities as Rutgers, Penn State, Spellman
College, Morgan State, and the University of Rochester.
The
